Inspiration for ICT Integration

Inspiration software is great for classroom use! Our Inspiration session is designed to help you learn to use the power of graphic organizers in a way that allows students to create, express and organize using keywords, shapes and icons to represent their ideas. Cheater's Guide to Library Cataloguing

This workshop provides ways to streamline your cataloguing without compromising searchability, free online tools that can make a cataloguer's life easier, and tips for tracking down catalogue copy (or its equivalent) online for those items that keep moving to the bottom of the to-do pile. Photo Editing with Photoshop Elements

Digital photography has eliminated the need for darkrooms and messy chemicals. It has also given photographers a great deal of control over the final object. In this workshop we use Adobe Photoshop Elements to modify images for display as prints, on web pages and in documents. Using your Digital Camera

Here's a chance to learn to use your own digital camera! This session is for those who have a digital camera but are not sure how to use it. Participants will bring their own camera to the workshop and learn its basic features, as well as some basics of digital photography. Building Web Sites with Dreamweaver

Authoring and maintaining Web sites with Dreamweaver is a snap once you are comfortable with the software. Having some HTML background and solid design concepts is also an enormous help, so we try to pass along as much as we can during class. If something doesn't make sense when you're working with Dreamweaver after class, you can post your questions here.

Intro to Macintosh OS X

Many changes were brought in with OS X on the Macintosh, and it just keeps getting better! Built on a UNIX core, this sleek and powerful operating system may be unfamiliar to long-time Mac users. Web Sites for Libraries

We put together a full day of information for those working on library Web sites that examines the content that could/should be on your site, some design principles, and thoughts on approaching your stakeholders with your ideas. In the afternoon we covered "Creating a Blog" and built a blog in class that could be used with our library site.
