- Who teaches your courses?
- We have a number of specialists who teach with Inet-Toolbox. Some
are certified teachers, some are professional librarians, some are certified
technicians, some are simply specialists in their field who are also
good teachers. Our goal is to make sure the instructor you have for
your course can provide you not only with information about the software
or hardware in use, but also the pragmatic aspects of actually using
it in real-life work situations. Visit the instructor profiles on the
About Inet-Toolbox page to see the
expertise of our instructors.
Do you offer certification programs?
- No. Inet-Toolbox maintains focus on practical day-to-day use of technology.
Our courses are for those who are working in a variety of environments
but who want to more effectively use the technology tools in their daily
work. However, some of the workshops offered by Inet-Toolbox use vendor
approved, certification level courseware, meeting the needs of those
who want more extensive coverage of specific software.
What do you mean by small class sizes?
- We limit our classroom registrations to a maximum of ten students.
This ensures learners have ample access to help from our instructors
during their course and provides a high quality learning environment.
Courses booked outside of the Inet-Toolbox classrooms may have a higher
number of students, but we also may send additional instructors to maintain
an effective student-to-instructor ratio for learning.
Do you offer courses outside of Calgary?
- Yes. Inet-Toolbox travels throughout Alberta. Visit our Registration
and Booking Information page for additional details or contact our
office directly. We also offer a great selection of self-directed learning
options through the Internet or on CD-ROM that might be helpful to those
outside of the Calgary area.
Visit our eLearning page for details.

Do you have special rates for group training?
- Yes. We offer exceptional value for group training and professional
development days. Visit our Onsite Training Packages
page for details or contact our office directly.
Do you offer additional support when
we take one of your courses?
- Yes. All of our courses come with one month of free email support
covering the content taken during the course. Some of our courses
also include
90 days access to online tutorials for reviewing course content.
How do I get help with the online course
I am taking through Inet-Toolbox?
- If you are having trouble with your web-based online course, you
can contact Inet-Toolbox for assistance. Technical support is available
through our eLearning partners by phone, fax, or email.
Can I get a tutor instead of taking a course?
- Yes. Our instructors are available for individualized
tutoring on a wide variety of computer topics for
PC or Macintosh systems.
How much does it cost to give a course
at our location?
- The price will vary depending on the course you have selected, how
many participants you expect to have, what course materials you require,
and where you are located. Please contact
our office as we are happy to provide you with a no obligation quote.
Can we book someone from your team to
speak at an event?
- Yes. We have an amazing array of expertise in our group and the members
of our team often present at conferences and special events. To book
one of our team as a speaker, please contact
our office with the theme of your event, the topic you are interested
in, and the logistics of your event (dates, location, expected numbers,
etc.) to begin organizing the best speaker to meet your needs.
What kind of computers are in your training
centre?
- At this time we have Intel systems with 17" LCD monitors
running Windows XP. Our lab also has some Macintosh systems running OSX for Mac classes. All our computers are equipped with CD/DVD burners and front USB ports for your memory sticks in case you wish to take your student work home after class. We upgrade our systems approximately
every two years to ensure you will always be using a current computer.
You can also arrange to bring your laptop to your course instead, but
you must make arrangements prior to the course to ensure you have any
necessary student files.
Do you have courses for Macintosh computers?
- Yes. We provide a number of courses specific to Macintosh systems. We allow students to bring their own Macs, or they may use one of the Macintosh machines in our classroom. Many
of our courses are cross platform so the content applies to Macintosh
or PC systems.
How does the Toolbox Buddy Program
work?
- The Toolbox Buddy Program is a special discount program that allows
a friend or colleague to attend the same session with you for a substantial
discount off the regular
price. Please visit the Discounts page
for additional details on this or one of our other discount programs.
Why are there only two months of training
schedules posted online?
- Our schedules are built based on demand. That means that if you want
a course but it isn't listed in the schedules or isn't offered at a
convenient time, you can contact us
and request that the course be added to an upcoming calendar. This allows
you to create the schedules that work for you and your colleagues instead
of being tied to ours!
I need more notice to apply for funding.
Can I get a list of what is coming up before it goes online?
- Contact us and ask for the course
you want. Since we build our calendars based on your requests, you
are able to book classes and dates any time you wish. This enables you
to pick the course, pick the date and time, and apply for your funding
as far in advance as you require. You can also join our notification
list and receive early notice of upcoming courses.
