Classroom Video Production with Adobe Premiere Elements

Adobe Premiere is the leading desktop video application editing tool used to edit digital video, audio, still images and text. Less expensive but just as useful in the classroom is the recently released, Premiere Elements. The potential in the classroom is quite remarkable as students create programs for multimedia, video broadcast, or the Web.

In this session you will learn how to create professional movies with
ease with Adobe Premier Elements for Windows. Explore how to edit, add
titles, and transitions to your movies and learn how to embed them in a
variety of projects. Then we move into specific areas of video
creation. During this session you will:

  • learn to define a project
  • use common digital, video, and audio terminology
  • perform editing, both from the Monitor and by using the Timeline
  • use transitions and apply effects using up to 99 video and audio tracks
  • use transparency, and add audio
  • learn why we need to keep our clips short and small
  • draw on some of the templates available and take home storyboard
    planning suggestions for your students

You will take home your own 30 second (or more) video to share with your students or colleagues.
