Preserving History - Electronic Student Portfolios

In the past, student work was sent home as collections of paper treasures to be hoarded by parents over the years. With so many projects now done electronically, how can we continue to provide parents with keepsakes of their children's progress and a local history of student achievement? With Adobe Acrobat, you can bring a variety of electronic work into an electronic portfolio that can be read by any computer using the free Adobe Acrobat reader. This session will help teachers learn to create an electronic student portfolio using Adobe Acrobat that can be sent home for parents each school year. During this session, participants will:

  • convert a variety of electronic file formats into PDF format
  • create a title page, section pages, and credits page for the portfolio
  • combine the files into one electronic portfolio
  • create bookmarks for quick access to the projects
