Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to create professional presentations that combine word processing, drawing, graphics and multimedia capabilities. How can it be used in school and classroom environments? This session is designed to cover "need to know" features and help educators fulfill the requirements of the ICT curriculum using PowerPoint. In this session, participants will create a classroom presentation as they learn the following skills:

  • look at how other educators have used PowerPoint in their classrooms
  • work on a practical project during this session
  • identify and work with PowerPoint toolbars and menus
  • create new presentations and work with previously created presentations
  • use wizards and templates to build presentations quickly
  • edit, move and format text and slides in the presentation
  • add clip art, backgrounds and colours for visual impact

This is a hands-on session. Participants will view samples done by other teachers and students, and work with PowerPoint to practice skills in this workshop
