A Home of your Own - Building your Family Web Page

The distance between family members has been shortened by email, but even better is the creation of a family web page! This session will give you the basics of building a family page that anyone in your family with Internet access can contribute to. Once the page is up, any of your friends or relatives can see it on the Web. This fun workshop covers:

• examples of family pages on the Web
• basics of web page layout and design
• getting your pictures ready
• how your whole family can participate
• organization: keeping everyone sorted out
• your own domain name - do you need one?
• some tools you can use to build your family site

The focus of this course is on how to plan, create, and launch a family site. It does not cover HTML or using web authoring tools.
