Desktop Publishing with Adobe PageMaker - level 1

Adobe PageMaker is a powerful page layout application you can use to create professional looking publications. In this course, you will learn basic techniques and skills that will give you a solid understanding of the software as you create a four-page color newsletter. PageMaker is a robust application that offers a high degree of control over many aspects of page design. In this course, you'll learn techniques for working with PageMaker efficiently to produce great looking documents. During this session participants will:

• set up a newsletter
• format text and work with text blocks
• import and manipulate text
• use the drawing tools to create custom shapes
• manipulate graphics and wrap text
• create a booklet
• print proofs of your work
• set up templates for recurring documents

This is a hands-on workshop. Participants will create their own publication during this session and are welcome to bring ideas and images they wish to include.
