Microsoft Excel - level 1

Microsoft Excel is a powerful spreadsheet package for working with numerical data. It easily does calculations and allows you to manipulate, track and store the data. This session is designed to give participants the opportunity to become comfortable with many of the versatile features it provides. In this session, participants will:

• identify and work with Excel toolbars and menus
• learn how to find help and use or hide the Office Assistant
• create new workbooks and worksheets
• edit, move and format worksheet data
• use formulas for automating calculations
• link data between worksheets
• add and remove cells, rows and columns
• format the appearance of cells and worksheets
• create a chart from worksheet data
• preview and print worksheets and charts

This is a hands-on session. Participants will work with Excel to practice the skills in this workshop.
