1. Checking the speed of your connection
If you are wondering how fast your Internet connection is at any given
time, check it using a bandwidth speed test. Here are a couple of handy
tools that will run a quick test and calculate your current connection
speed. The ZD Net test also provides an explanation of why your speeds
can vary each time you connect to the Internet.

2. TechEncyclopedia for all those technology terms
When you need a quick explanation of what your "techie" just
said, do a quick search in the online Tech encyclopedia. With over 14,000
technology terms put into easy-to-understand English, the TechEncyclopedia
might be just what you need to keep up.

3. Tips for a Successful Technology Night
Connect parents, students, and teachers with a Technology Night! This
great article from the Buddy Project walks you through the process of
explaining how to plan the event and advertise it to parents, ideas for
what you can do, and a sample timeline to keep you on track. An excellent
way to get parents involved with your school and a fun way for families
to learn together.

4. Copyright-friendly Images for Education
While there are many images on the Web, most are copyright protected and
require permissions and clearances for use, even in a classroom non-profit
environment. Created especially for educators, this collection is copyright-friendly.
All the images have been donated by the creators and are free for educational
use.
