Respecting Your Privacy

Alberta Privacy Legislation places specific restrictions and guidelines on how your personal information can be used, and Inet-Toolbox is compliant with these regulations.

This Privacy Policy summarizes how we collect information from you and how we use it. By using this site or enrolling in a course though Inet-Toolbox, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and to the use of your information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our site or enroll in our courses.

1. Information Collected

1. To use the services of Inet-Toolbox, you may be required to provide some or of all the following information: your name, home telephone number, work telephone number, fax number, email address, employer name (if any), credit card information, and information about the Inet-Toolbox courses in which you are interested.
2. We also collect general information to better understand user demographics, to improve our web site and to better meet your needs; such as the type of browser that you use, the services and products you request from Inet-Toolbox, the domain name and country from which you request information, the web site that you just came from, and the search terms used to find our site.

2. Uses and Disclosure of Information

We will not release or use your personal information without your consent, except as specified in this Privacy Policy.

1. The information that you supply to Inet-Toolbox will be used to respond to your inquiries and to provide you with courses, products, and services from Inet-Toolbox.
2. We may use your personal information to contact you by telephone, email or regular mail in respect of Inet-Toolbox course offerings, promotions, announcements, market research surveys and to effectively administer our relationship with you. The use of the information collected in any market research surveys will be explained to you in such surveys. You will be able to "unsubscribe" from promotional mailings at any time, but certain communications from Inet-Toolbox including announcements and administrative messages relating to courses in which you are or have been enrolled are essential to your use of our services.
3. Inet-Toolbox may share aggregate information about our users with business partners, and other third parties, but such information will not personally identify any individual. (For example: Inet-Toolbox has x number of students from Edmonton and x number of students from Calgary.)
4. If you have not been registered in, or inquired about, an Inet-Toolbox course for three years, then personal information about you will only be used for internal record keeping purposes, as required by law, or as otherwise explicitly permitted by you. Inet-Toolbox may also retain general information about you which does not identify you personally, but may still be included with our aggregate information which may be provided to third parties.

Inet-Toolbox may disclose your information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, investigate, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be engaging in illegal activity or may be causing injury to or interference with (intentionally or unintentionally) the rights or property of Inet-Toolbox, its users, or anyone else. Inet-Toolbox may also disclose your information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
6. We DO NOT sell, rent or provide outside access to our mailing list.

Inet-Toolbox reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Notification of any substantial alteration of this policy will be posted on our home page. Your continued use of this site after any modifications are posted to the site shall constitute your acceptance of all such modifications.

6. Security of Information Cannot be Guaranteed

We strive to protect our users' personal information and privacy at all times. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online, and therefore you do so at your own risk. If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account with us and for restricting access to your computer.

7. Transfer of Information

We may transfer information about you which you have provided to us to a company which acquires, merges with or purchases Inet-Toolbox at any time in the future. In this event, we will notify you of the transfer, which may make your information subject to a different privacy policy.
