Jeannette StrongJeannette began cataloguing in eleventh grade while working as a volunteer in her high school library. Her professional life began with recataloguing the three public libraries of the Crowsnest Pass, followed by nearly two decades as the one-person cataloguing department at the Lethbridge Community College. Today she is team leader of the Cataloguing Department at United Library Services. Believing that the #1 purpose of a library is to connect patrons with information, Jeannette is always on the lookout for newer, faster, and better ways to create a catalogue that helps accomplish that goal. She is a graduate of the library technician program at the Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology and one of her proudest career moments is receiving the Alberta Association of Library Technicians Achievement Award for her mentoring of other cataloguers.
