Duncan White

Duncan is committed to a constructivist methodology and the infusion of technology into his teaching practices. He has presented at the Calgary Teacher's Convention, ATA Social Studies Conference, ATACC Conference and various sessions connected with the Telus2Learn teacher team. He completed his Masters in Educational Technology at the University of Calgary in 2001 and presently teaches Multi-Media at H.D. Cartwright Jr. High in Calgary. He is Curriculum Leader of ICT and is involved in helping teachers make the best choices for capturing student attention and making wise curriculum choices when infusing technology into the classroom.

With new curriculums and the ever-changing and expanding Internet, Duncan believes the creation of a web site, complete with navigational tools, text, graphics, interactivity and content, is an ideal way to present curriculum and maintain student inquiry. His workshops are designed for teachers and are full of illustrative examples and project ideas for use in the classroom or Multi-Media environment.

Duncan created the Get 2 Know Canada Web Site (www.get2knowcanada.ca) to engage learners and support teachers with the elementary social studies curriculum.
