Photo of Cynthia Beuselinck, Inet-Toolbox.Cynthia has been doing Internet training for schools, libraries and small businesses since 1995. From 1996 - 2000, she was responsible for the Web Administrator training program for the Calgary Board of Education, the largest school district in Western Canada. Providing 30-50 hours per month of Internet training for 400+ Web Administrators along with professional development days for other staff members in the district allowed her to become especially adept at understanding the educational perspective of Internet use. A dynamic presenter during her workshops and conference sessions, Cynthia's enthusiasm encourages and inspires her students.

Web design and development are also strong components of Cynthia's skill set. She was creating web sites prior to the use of graphical browsers and has continued doing sites right into the new millennium. She was part of the development team for the Crossing the Empty Quarter web site and was responsible for the Calgary Board of Education's Y2K web site in 1999. A proponent of creating responsible, safe, Web sites for educational environments, Cynthia does extensive work with school sites and webmasters. She is co-author of K-12 Web Sites: Planning and Publishing Excellent School Web Sites (Linworth Publishing, Inc., November 2001), with Debra Kay Logan. She currently maintains the Inet-Toolbox web site, coordinates Inet-Toolbox web development and training projects, and provides Web consulting services to schools and small business.

She is an honors graduate of the Library and Information Technology program from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta, a Certified Microsoft Office User Specialist (Word & PowerPoint), and is currently pursuing a degree through Athabasca University via distance education. Prior to starting Inet-Toolbox, Cynthia had worked in school, special, and public libraries and was featured in Exploring Technical Careers: real people tell you what you need to know (edited by Holli Cosgrove, J.G. Ferguson Publishing, 1995) in the section on Library Technicians. She continues to be involved with library organizations, committees and task forces.
